Addio a Fredòn, il principe del dialetto mantovano

MANTOVA – Addio al grande Fredón. Il poeta, all’anagrafe Alfredo Facchini, da sempre considerato il principe del dialetto mantovano, si è spento ieri, all’età di 93 anni che aveva compiuto il 15 gennaio scorso.
Ha scritto decine di libri di poesie ma anche di barzellette. E che dire delle sue “quartine” che componeva all’istante, qualunque fosse la situazione da raccontare, e che facevano sempre rimanere stupiti chi le ascoltava: un talento naturale Fredón che aveva fatto dell’ottimismo e della voglia di vivere le sue parole d’ordine.
Bellissimo era ascoltare quando raccontava della sua nascita avvenuta nel lontano e freddo gennaio 1929, uno dei mesi più freddi di sempre. Nacque in Cantarana, nel cuore “ad Fera Cadena”. Il nome Alfredo i genitori lo scelsero proprio per il freddo che faceva: venne battezzato alla svelta in sant’Egidio proprio per evitare che si gelasse. Anche se alla nascita “pesavo 6 chili” come tanta volte raccontava, era pur sempre un neonato e non era il caso tenerlo fuori con le temperature di quel gennaio glaciale.
Fin da bambino il piccolo Alfredo fece capire che sapeva il fatto suo, e lo dimostrò ben presto quando da ragazzino iniziò ad annotare i bombardamenti aerei su Mantova. Tanti anni dopo, nel 2004, da quelle pagine scritte ancora con pennino e inchiostro, arrivò il libro “Quaderno a righe: incursioni aeree su Mantova. Testimonianze di un ragazzo”.

E fin da piccolo dimostrò di avere un’incredibile vena poetica. Impossibile citare tutti i titoli dei suoi libri, solo per ricordarne alcuni “Saggezza popolare” “Ris e fasöi”, “Mantoa in dal cör”, “Strace ‘d poesia. Antologia di poesie dialettali mantovane”, “Osé e dintorni. Barselete senza riguard in dialet mantoàn”, “T’ha fat… fredón! ‘Na dolsa e ‘na brüsca” e tanti altri, tutti con il dialetto mantovano grande protagonista, quel dialetto che Fredon ha tentato di difendere a tutti i costi, fondando anche insieme ad altri poeti e artisti nel 1972 il “Cenacolo dialettale Al Fogolèr” di cui è stato presidente. Tra i libri vale senz’altro però un cenno “Al principìn”, la traduzione in mantovano del “Piccolo principe” di Saint-Exupéry, per un editore tedesco, illustrato da acquerelli dello stesso Fredón.
Era una persona dotata anche di una grande sensibilità (non era raro vedergli scendere una lacrima mentre declamava alcune poesie che gli ricordavano la Mantova della sua infanzia e quella mamma tanto amata), e di un profondo senso critico verso una società che cambiava velocemente, e spesso non in meglio.
E faceva emozionare praticamente sempre chi lo ascoltava: del resto non era possibile fare altrimenti sentendo alcuni autentici capolavori come “Tramont in sal lagh ad s’ora” o “Sant’Ansèlom”.
E che dire della sua attività di presentatore? Quanto andava fiero di essere stato lui tra i conduttori della serata inaugurale del Caravel e di aver presentato alcuni degli artisti di fama internazionale che arrivavano a Mantova negli anni ruggenti della discoteca di viale della Favorita.
La vita non è sempre stata generosa con Fredón: rimase vedovo giovane dalla prima moglie e nella poesia dedicata ai due figli con quel finale “….Tra gioje e dölör, qualcosa è restà…..Do gran creatüre ch’am ciama: <<Papà>>” c’è dentro tutta la sofferenza di quel momento ma Alfredo, sempre con il suo inseparabile ottimismo, andò avanti e più in là negli anni si risposò con Dory, ed ebbe un’altra bambina. Diventò un nonno felice e non c’era volta in cui non rimarcasse l’unità e l’amore che aleggiavano all’interno della sua grande famiglia.
Amava viaggiare, ancora negli ultimi anni prepandemia se ne andava almeno un paio di volte l’anno in mete lontane: Africa, Australia, Messico, Asia: “ad Honk Kong poi c’era il suo grane amico Ugo Conta e la città la conosceva a menadito”.
Per i suoi meriti era stato nominato Cavaliere della Repubblica.
Da oggi la camera ardente presso la casa funeraria Tea di Levata, i funerali saranno celebrati mercoledi 20 aprile alle ore 15:30 nella chiesa di S.Antonio di Porto Mantovano.
