Mantovarchitettura 2020: evento on line con Sergei Tchoban

MANTOVA – Importante appuntamento nell’ambito degli eventi di Mantovarchitettura 2020: oggi, 22 ottobre, l’architetto russo-tedeso, Sergei Tchoban, terrà una lezione dal titolo “Architecture as a Balancing Act”.
L’incontro sarà l’occasione per approfondire la conoscenza di questo artista, entrato a gran forza già dai primi anni del nuovo millennio nel panorama mondiale dell’architettura.

I pochi architetti che ancora attribuiscono al disegno a mano un ruolo centrale nel processo progettuale, è artefice di una serie di illustrazioni che, per eterogeneità dei soggetti, abilità manuale e concentrazione creativa, ha pochi eguali nella sua generazione e dalla quale emergono due traiettorie di approfondimento principali: una è costituita dai ritratti di città, che comprendono anche il chiaroscuro “volumetrico” di alcuni monumenti mantovani; l’altra consiste nei disegni di invenzione che inquadrano situazioni immaginarie con frammenti di città semisommerse dall’acqua o perturbate da macrostrutture sospese e avvolgenti. L’architetto utilizza questi disegni per mostrare perché, e in quale direzione, il linguaggio moderno dell’architettura è cambiato in un periodo di oltre cento anni, e come questo cambiamento abbia influenzato il carattere visivo delle città europee. Tchoban presenta ciò che l’architettura contemporanea deve prendere in considerazione se si vuole raggiungere un’impressione architettonica complessiva soddisfacente e armoniosa in modo completamente nuovo.
