PORTO MANTOVANO – L’Amministrazione comunale di Porto Mantovano ha programmato la messa a dimora di nuovi alberi nei pressi dell’asilo nido comunale e nell’area di Cà Rossa. Gli esemplari, 15 in tutto, saranno piantumati di fronte all’edificio del nido “La Tartaruga e la Cicogna”, in sostituzione di piante in precedenza rimosse perché pericolose, e intorno al parcheggio del parco Cà Rossa, in una porzione attualmente priva di arredo verde.
“Nei giorni in cui si celebra la Giornata della Terra, questo intervento rappresenta un ulteriore contributo agli obiettivi che ci siamo dati di incremento del capitale naturale, riduzione delle emissioni e contenimento del consumo energetico” spiega l’assessore all’ambiente Pier Claudio Ghizzi “sotto il profilo della partecipazione, un ulteriore valore dell’iniziativa è dato dal fatto che a scegliere i luoghi delle piantumazioni è stato un gruppo di cittadini sensibili ai temi ambientali”.
L’agenda green del Comune prevede altre iniziative:
-la creazione di un bosco dei nuovi nati, il terzo sul territorio comunale, che accoglierà oltre 600 piante
-le manutenzioni periodiche nei boschi dei nuovi nati presenti nelle zone di via Kennedy e in via Biagi
Una particolare attenzione è riservata al contenimento dei consumi energetici con interventi che hanno riguardato l’efficientamento in diversi edifici pubblici, a partire dalla palazzina comunale, con l’installazione di caldaie ad alta efficienza energetica, la coibentazione dei tetti e la sostituzione dei serramenti, per un investimento complessivo di oltre 300mila euro.
Anche il contrasto nell’utilizzo della plastica, dopo la distribuzione delle borracce tra gli studenti di ogni ordine e grado, ha visto l’acquisto, da parte dell’amministrazione, di erogatori di acqua con sistema filtrante destinati alla scuola secondaria di primo grado, dove sono già stati installati, e alle scuole primarie.
